There has been a group of newspaper publishers who pointed out that they are going to join an industry-backed online ad sales effort, aimed to win more business from national ad companies. This announcement adds 26 publishing companies as associates to an advertising sales network launched by Gannett Co., Tribune Co., Hearst Corp., and the New York Times Co., They call this venture as QuadrantOne. The companies that decided to join the QuadrantOne are also in separate conglomerate with the Web Company Yahoo! Inc. to coordinate in other areas online, like classified job listings, search, news postings on Yahoo’s news and local ad section.
