A privacy policy should be carefully read, it is a legal document explaining how a site or a business will handle your personal data and information. And in case you run into troubles on the site, it will be your basis for legal protection. Meaning, if there is no privacy policy posted, you also do not have a legal protection from them. But fortunately, most sites today have privacy policies so better print out the policy as you register in the job search site and keep it as a copy for your record.
