Search Engines such as Yahoo or Google can sometimes be confusing. If not used properly, these search engines can be misleading. Here are some tips on how to get best results out of search engines!

1. Use Quotation Marks (“”) otherwise the engine will search the word separately.
2. Use AND – to make sure your results contain two terms.
3. Use OR – to enter synonyms for the search engine to look at
4. Use (+) Sign – will ensure that all the words are searched for.
5. Use (–) Sign –eliminates words
6. Use *Sign – use the star sign to truncate a word.
7. Use a combination of signs by putting terms in parenthesis.
